What were they so mad about?
Then, finally, either someone set me straight....or I figured it out.....
Mad was referring to a little "crazy".
OHHHHHH!!!!
I can get on board with "a little crazy." Because, as we all know.....I, myself, am kind of crazy!
I love to get crazy about cool stuff.
I've made it VERY clear that I'm completely MAD about my new Silhouette machine, whom I've named "Scarlett".
She and I teamed up for a project right before my trip to Disneyland....
THAT I'M COMPLETELY MAD ABOUT!!
I started with this divine gray hoodie. It's a super thin one, with those awesome long sleeves that you can tuck around your fingers when you're cold. (I think I paid around $14 for this one. And I got it at God's store. Target.)
I used the Silhouette software to design my decorations. Just 3 small circles in the familiar pattern. And my statement (in my new favorite font: Bradbury Sans Light)
"mad about the mouse"
I used "Scarlett" to cut out my design from Silhouette's awesome iron-on vinyl in silver.
The vinyl comes in lots of colors. And has all the instructions right on the package. This entire project probably took 15-20 minutes. And that was only because it was my first time. I think next time 10 minutes. Max.
Isn't it kind of divine and mod? I'm in love with it! I even had a couple people ask me which Disneyland store I bought it in. {tee hee}
I'm MAD about this hoodie. And I'm MAD about that mouse!!
GUESS WHAT ELSE I'M "MAD" ABOUT?
Less Cake {more frosting} has hit (and exceeded) 500 followers! WOW! I knew it was coming....but it really snuck up on me! WHEW!!
Thank you, thank you to so many of you who have looked at my little blog. Who have taken time to leave comments, send e-mails, feature projects, answer my e-mails, leave Facebook notes.....and on and on.....
What an amazing experience this has been so far! I feel like I've made so many new, wonderful friends!
If you're new....welcome! If you're an old-timer....you rule!
500 followers is kind of incredible.
I've been racking my brain for some fun things to celebrate this milestone. And I promise they're coming. Maybe a giveaway or two. YAY!
Until then...
I'm "mad" about my followers!!
You could totally have a giveaway featuring a shirt like that! I want one! Congrats on 500! Love it!
ReplyDeleteLove the hoodie! (I think I actually have the same one...I love Target too!) I have to get a Silhouette...I'll be dropping some serious Christmas hints!
ReplyDeleteI am reading the original Alice in Wonderland right now for the first time. I am all about classics right now. Just finished Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, which was good. Anyway, Alice...the phrase that stumped me was I wish I were a telescope. huh? I had to google that one.
ReplyDeleteLove the hoodie. Thin hoodies are awesome! And so is target!
Congrats on 500 followers! That is very cool!
Your sweatshirt turned out SO AWESOME!! Totally pro. Good for you! And congrats on hitting the big 5-0-0 Wahoo!
ReplyDeleteThat is just adorable! They (disney) should copy your design, very clever!
ReplyDeleteSo how is "Scarlet" different than a cricut? Since moving out of Utah and out of the country, I am feeling a bit 'out of it'!
ReplyDeleteThat sweatshirt is super cute!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on exceeding your expectations with your blog. I enjoy your wit and craftiness. :)
I love the way you put the letters down the sleeve ... so cute! I just got a Silhouette and just ordered heat transfer paper for my first shirt project. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteOver 500 followers!!! That is amazing! Look at you. Love the hoodie. And I love sweatshirts or long-sleeved tees with words or designs on the sleeve. So stinkin' cute!
ReplyDeleteLOVING IT! Of course, you already knew that. I'm soaking it ALL in. Thanks for being so fantastic
ReplyDeleteBTW....I just found out my best friend is expecting her FIRST baby....WOOHOO! I'm pretty much beside myself. Do you have an idea of what I can take her to congratulate her? I'd LOVE to take her something special. Any ideas??
ReplyDeleteI'm mad about your sweatshirt too. I need one of those dang silhouette machines. But they cost money. Darn it! Why do they have to cost money? Oh well, enjoy your sweatshirt.
ReplyDeleteSell these babies..I'd buy several! 500 rocks, and I'm trying to catch up. I better stop cookin' and start hoodie-ing...
