I might fall over.
But it's still super fun. Lots and lots going on. It's not over yet, so I'm gonna have to show you some teaser photos and be on to my next activity.
Yesterday I got to run to Jen's for a mighty fun cookie exchange!
Look at this table!! And that's only about 1/4 of the goodies! Seriously. So worth the hours of making my own cookies to take!
Jen's Mom made these FAB-O stamped cookies. I was IN LOVE with them. (and PS....you can tell where Jen got her fabulocity (it's a word). Her Mom is amazing and super nice!)
Tauni made these amazing Reindeer cookies. And brought them in real live bakery boxes. I might have stolen a box. It's not stealing if you ask. But still. She is sharing her gingerbread recipe on her blog. I've never tried gingerbread, but she says it's easy. I might give it a whirl!!
Okay, I never found out who made these candy cane meringue cookies. But whoever you are. I LOVE YOU. These suckers didn't even make it home. I ate them in the car. They were cute, yummy, and I am DYING to be able to make meringue. I've tried several times and blown it big time. These made me want to try again.
(and PS....if you happen to read this....I will pay you to bring me more of these. That's HOW MUCH I love them!)
There were so many fun people there. I wish I had pulled out my camera for pictures more. Of course I took pictures of the food. I love food too much. But I did get this one with awesome AMY from The Idea Room. Hello? Superstar!! (I may have cropped the crap out of this photo. That sweater wasn't doing me any favors. Or maybe it was all the frosting I ate that morning!)
I also loved spending time with Leanne, and Stacey and Amy and Ashlee and Michelle and Shelley. So much fun to meet new people and hang out with friends!
You might be wondering what I took to the party. And I'll show you tomorrow. With a tute and a recipe. It's my super secret sugar cookies, and they're yummy.
(okay it's not that secret.
It's not secret at all.
But I like to pretend to be elusive.)
I also got to spend last night over at BYUTV to film an episode of a new show called
It was so much fun, and such an experience! I am excited to share more with you in an upcoming post.
(this experience did NOTHING for tampering my quest to be famous. Still on that quest. I LOVE the make-up chair!)
Stay tuned!
Now, what you're probably actually here for!
Who won the annual pass to THANKSGIVING POINT?
#44 Who are you.......?
Dan and Jen
Congrats you guys! I hope you can put the pass to good use! I'll get in touch with you so you can get your pass.
Don't forget to visit THANKSGIVING POINT while all their holiday festivities are going on! You won't be disappointed!
Hi Lara! It was so good to meet you in person and talk and laugh with you. You took some yummy pictures. Ummm, my meringues didn't make it home either and I barely got a bite of yours. The santa hats were going fast at my house. It was such a fun time, we need to do it again soon, maybe the pajama party Shelley was talking about. Have a very Merry Christmas. I'll be waiting for your sugar cookie recipe or maybe I'll just wait for you to make more.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, and I LOVE THE Reindeer cookies, very cute. Jen
