Sunday Surprise!

I don't normally blog on the weekends. I decided, when I started, that I'd try to do 3-5 posts during the week, and spend weekends with my family. But this post just has to be written. And a Sunday evening is a great time!!

I've been awarded several lovely awards over the last month or so. And it is just so flattering when a fellow blogger acknowledges my little part of the blogosphere. How crazy is it to have someone list a few blogs they like and have mine included? CRAZY PANTS!! And it makes me giggle.

I just wanted to let these people know how happy these awards make me feel! So a special thank you to:
It's so much fun to check out new blogs and meet new people! Thanks again you gals!

I said once before that I stink at passing things on. And it's true. So if that gets me Award "black-listed", I'm afraid that's going to have to just be. But will you let me explain why I won't? Please?

Okay, it's because I have issues. That's right. I admit it. I get nervous to go on peoples blogs and tell them I passed on an award. I get worried that they'll think it's silly, or I'm dumb. I doubt either are really true, but it is what it is. And there you go.

Wanna know some other kookie pants stuff about me?

  • I hate sticky price tags and labels. You know, the ones that come on Rubbermaid, or Frames, or toilets. I take them off immediately. Even if it means spending WAAAAAY too much time scrubbing them off. Bless Goo Be Gone forever! (oh, and PS....we can put a man on the moon....but we can't make labels that peel of cleanly? Seriously?)
  • I hate thunder. Especially the kind that cracks really loud. I whine like a 2 year old when there's a big thunder storm.
  • I cannot stand to go without my toenails painted. It bugs me so stinkin' bad!
  • I love Sesame Street. And I will watch it even without my kids around. I may, or may not, have dreams sometimes where I get to go to the real Sesame Street and be Maria.
  • I love old TV. We DVR Bewitched every day. I kind of have a crush on Wally from Leave it to Beaver. And I can identify every Cosby episode from the opening few seconds. Remember when Theo had to go live at the "Real World Apartments?" And the one where Denise made him a designer shirt? Oooohh....here's a trivia.....who was the designer they were copying?
  • I'm a bit of a celebrity stalker. I once followed Della Reece around Nordstrom for a bit. Karl Malone sat right by me during a basketball game and I almost needed a Valium. I even get kind of star struck by local newscasters. I'm a nerd.

Speaking of stalking celebrities....I consider some of these blog authors COMPLETELY FAMOUS!! Don't you kind of get a little star struck with some of the blogs you read? Maybe it's just me......

Rather than pass on a blog award, I thought I might just point you to some of my very favorites. Maybe you've never seen them. These are only a couple of my faves. But they're people who have not only talent, but have been extremely kind to me as well....

Tatertots & Jello
I sure hope you haven't missed this blog. Jen is just so talented, and sweet! Her linky parties on the weekends always have amazing things and it's a great way to find new blogs to stalk. And I think the way she spotlights people's projects and links is so generous. If Facebook had a "LOVE" button....I'd press it 1,000 times! This blog is a must!

Thrifty Decor Chick
I haven't been following this one for very long. (I know! Gasp!) Not only is it packed with great ideas, the writing is awesome! Hilarious, real, and refreshing. I love it!

Positively Splendid
Every time I see a new project here, I think it can't possibly be improved upon. And then a new one gets posted....and my theory is proved wrong. Plus, I sent Amy an E-Mail asking a question, and she was so completely nice about it! My Mom was right all along....kindness does get you a long way!

The Crafting Chicks
I love this blog! I think the projects are amazing. Their scrapbooking is darling, and I'm constantly telling my family....I saw this one idea on The Crafting Chicks..... Mostly, they're really awesome and I love to see that their site has a new entry!

eighteen25
Did you ever have a friend that did everything so perfectly? And you kinda wanted to dislike her...but she was so stinkin' cool that you couldn't help but just love her to pieces? Meet my friends at eighteen25. Their eye for clean, modern, and AMAZING graphic design is just unmatched. Lots of times when I click on a picture I like...it ends up being their design. And I've yet to find another blog that is as generous with freebie printables. They are 'da bomb diggity!

MADE
This girl is obviously living a double life. She has to have some kind of super-powers to make this many amazing things. She has the most wonderful eye for design. And she makes me remember to EDIT. Because sometimes I add too much, and then it's not clean any more. And one day, I will be able to sew things that don't come with a pattern. And when I do....I hope I'll remember to be as generous as Dana is with the details! Love this blog!

That should be enough for you to spend at least a few hours drooling. Get a towel to wipe up. And thanks for all your support. I'll see you tomorrow for another week of stuff....
